Kobayashi is one of the most productive Japanese furniture designers but also works a lot on product and takes special care to assert strong identity on its collections. He created, between 2008 and 2015, more than eight major product and furniture collections, exclusively edited by Japanese companies. Regularly praised by different awards, Mikiya Kobayashi has developed significant collaborations with Japanese furniture companies and creators as Karimoku, Fuji Furniture, Takumi Kohgei, Dreamy Person, AIWA Metal, Usuiworks, Lemnos and more recently Tendo Mokko.
